Speaker F:

Thank you so much, Elle.

Speaker D:

Woo. I love coconuts. I hope you love coconuts. Kim Petras loves her coconuts.

Speaker C:

I love coconuts.

Speaker E:

I can't save fast enough for my coconuts. I keep spending the money on guitars.

Speaker C:

Oh no.

Speaker E:

I get clothes and then I like buy guitar pedals or guitars. It's crazy.

Speaker G:

Both can be attractive to people. Guitars does a lot of work.

Speaker F:

I can donate some of mine. Donations.

Speaker E:

I've had so many donation offers. But I don't know how this surgery would work personally.

Speaker C:

If I walked into your house and there was just a mound of coconuts, I'd be interested regardless. I'd be like, wow, what's this? But if you had a like guitar collection, I'd be like, could be a green flag, could be a red flag. But coconuts. Instant green flag.

Speaker E:

Exactly. That's my problem. Not enough coconuts. Too many guitars.

Speaker C:

Yeah, we gotta work on that.

Speaker D:

We can. You know how you can get Betmore coconuts?

Speaker C:

Kickstarter. Oh no. Subscribe to 4zzz. Damn it. And Kickstarter.

Speaker D:

And Kickstarter. Yes.

Speaker E:

Okay, subscribe. And then I get a kickback.

Speaker D:

Yes, a kickback. That's right. A tick back, if you will. Surely.

Speaker C:

Yeah, surely. The subscriber light goes off on Chip back.

Speaker G:

Right.

Speaker D:

Subscribe to four Triple Z so we can cheer in studio. So we know you're listening. So you know. So we know you care.

Speaker C:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

It's Radio Thon. 20, 25, 50 years keeping us alive since 75 is people like you, listener. So subscribe to Transmission. Subscribe and win unique prizes from Transmission. Or the unbelievable amount of prizes that 4zzz has going on this year as well. There are many ways you can subscribe. You can do it through the website. You can do it on your phone. You can call up if you want. 325-21555. You can subscribe that way. Or you could come in literally into Barry Parade.

Speaker C:

Really?

Speaker D:

And subscribe. Come into the reception in person.

Speaker C:

Can you send a letter?

Speaker D:

Possibly.

Speaker E:

Yeah, why not?

Speaker C:

Let's. I just wanted to know.

Speaker F:

Carrier pigeon.

Speaker D:

Carrier pigeons.

Speaker B:

Pigeon. Yes. But I feel like by the time a letter arrived, Radio Thon might be over. I don't wanna.

Speaker C:

That's true.

Speaker G:

We honour carrier pigeons past the day. We understand they're working hard.

Speaker C:

It's all good. I like our post office.

Speaker G:

Projection also works.

Speaker D:

If you want to just tell us.

Speaker G:

Via your mind that you Want to subscribe? Subscribe. We can carry that down to the desk for you.

Speaker D:

Yeah. If you've got trans. What is it? What do you. No, that's telekinesis.

Speaker C:

A transnesis.

Speaker D:

I don't know, like telepathy. That's what I'm thinking. Yeah. You could just let Beam. Beam some messages to the transmission crew.

Speaker G:

Absolutely. We've also got the trans collective unconscious.

Speaker C:

Yes.

Speaker G:

And sort of insert an idea.

Speaker D:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker C:

Oh, that's good.

Speaker D:

That is a good one. I like that one. Okay. All right. There's many ways you can transmit your subscription to us.

Speaker C:

Transmit? That's like, oh, sorry.

Speaker G:

We finally got to it. But send us a transmission. I finally figured it out.

Speaker E:

I think I feel a tremor in the transforce.

Speaker D:

I think someone ruin the transforce.

Speaker F:

Oh, dear.

Speaker D:

So, Brody, tell me. You look like your little bug. Your buggy is also a bug.

Speaker F:

Yes.

Speaker C:

Not very.

Speaker F:

Not working very well right now. But they're good.

Speaker D:

You look great.

Speaker C:

No, it's good. You look great.

Speaker D:

For dear listeners who cannot see what's happening in studio. Brody's got some pipe. Is it like pipe cleaners tied to their glasses to look like a bug, but it keeps falling over, so it kind of looks like a moustache?

Speaker G:

That's it Does.

Speaker D:

Ultimate goal.

Speaker F:

Honestly. Diet orange and everything.

Speaker G:

Furious invasion of Pipe Cleaner worms all over the studio. Tied to everything.

Speaker D:

Yes.

Speaker G:

So if you want to help us clear that out. If you subscribe to 4zzz, we'll have the funding to do so.

Speaker C:

Yeah. I haven't quite figured out which way they've twisted yet. They're really hard to get off. I was gonna not to. They are childproof. Birch, you're pushing it. I just want not to stitch everyone up, but we should tell everybody what we're wearing right now because we're all in. We're all in extravagant outfits, aren't we?

Speaker D:

Yes.

Speaker C:

Yeah. We're dressed up for radio.

Speaker D:

Yeah.

Speaker E:

I'm dressed as a giant bug.

Speaker C:

Yes.

Speaker D:

You look great. Thanks.

Speaker C:

I'm also dressed as a giant bug.

Speaker E:

Stopping traffic. Gigantic feelers.

Speaker C:

Giant feelers. That's cute.

Speaker D:

You're scuttling along.

Speaker C:

Yeah. So cute.

Speaker D:

So why. So why do we love 4zzz? Why is it worth subscribing? Why do we want to keep it alive?

Speaker E:

Because I learned about algae this morning.

Speaker D:

You did learn about algae.

Speaker E:

I didn't even know that. I'm from Adelaide. I'm like, hey, I vaguely remember this news story.

Speaker D:

Story.

Speaker E:

What happened to it?

Speaker D:

It's back.

Speaker C:

It's back again.

Speaker D:

That's right. You can learn things from, like, from, like, our news team.

Speaker G:

Local news, national news.

Speaker C:

Yes.

Speaker G:

International news. All in one bundle. It's good stuff.

Speaker D:

Yeah. One bundle. Local.

Speaker C:

I really. I really like that there's a secret hidden community for transmissions on Discord. And we all chat and we all support each other and it's really lovely and fun and nice. And then Radio Thong comes around and we all just get to be like, oh, how for Triple Z?

Speaker F:

A?

Speaker C:

Yeah. Because everybody gets a go. And I think that's the thing that I really like about 4zzz is that everybody gets a go. And if you have a voice and if you want to put it out there, 4zzz is the place to do it. Unless you're a fascist, then fuck off.

Speaker D:

Get out. Get out.

Speaker F:

Leave goat.

Speaker D:

Why do you love Zed, Birdie?

Speaker F:

I love Zed because, in a way, it has literally saved my life because it is given me confidence to be here, confidence to do the things that I'm doing. And it has, like, allowed me to find an incredible community and helped me in ways more. In more ways than I can say, to be honest. So that is why I love four.

Speaker D:

Triple Z. Oh, it can make me emotional. Yeah. I feel the same way. Zed is one of those places.

Speaker F:

Truly is.

Speaker D:

Yeah, absolutely.

Speaker G:

I think also so many of our listeners probably feel that way as well. There's just so much love here at 4zzz. It's beautiful. I would also say that I've just discovered so much music from 4000z because even. Even if you try really hard to listen to the local scene, it's so hard to find anything out here, the stuff that doesn't break the surface. But if you're on 4 Triple Z, you're listening to 4 ZZZ, you will just hear so much local music all the time. New bands, new stuff. It's fantastic.

Speaker D:

Yeah. And if you support for Triple Z, you support Trans Voices. For one hour every Tuesday morning on this show, we play Trans Voices just for you. In all their shapes, sizes and ranges. Trans Voices are by far the most beautiful and interesting to listen to. And that's what this entire show kind of started on, was the premise that our voices needed to be heard. And so that's what you're hearing this morning. If you want to continue to support that, head to4z.org au to subscribe.

Speaker A:

Are you under 18 or do you happen to be a pet? Then for just $25, you can subscribe to 4zzz this radiothon and enter the running for some Cool prizes. If you're a young human, then you could win an electric guitar pack from Woods Music which comes with everything you need to start shredding guitar solos. If you're a pet, then your Prize is a Cube20 aquarium from Atlas Aquariums in Nunda. Plus a $100 voucher to get yourself some pet food fish too. Just head to 4zzz.org eu and subscribe.

Speaker D:

It's Radio Thon. Subscribe to 4 Triple Z 4zzz.org au My name is Ez. I use he him pronouns and I'm a studio with subscribers. You're in the studio with a subscriber.

Speaker C:

I am so excited.

Speaker H:

50 years.

Speaker D:

Thank you so much to Brad for messaging in saying, is there nothing Selma can't do?

Speaker C:

Oh, stop it.

Speaker D:

Really.

Speaker C:

We love you, Brad.

Speaker E:

Message we got from a professional transgender.

Speaker D:

Yes, I'm a professional transgender.

Speaker G:

Good on you.

Speaker D:

Love that. Congratulations.

Speaker C:

I'm putting that on my cv.

Speaker G:

Professional.

Speaker D:

Actually transmission has a description that I put on our AMRAP page. If you head to the Fortuple Z website and now amrap you can check out, it says transmission with a diverse crew of professional trans and genders.

Speaker G:

Oh yeah, which one are you guys? I'm a professional trans, I think.

Speaker E:

Yeah, I'm a gender.

Speaker G:

Yeah, I see that.

Speaker C:

Can you be both?

Speaker D:

Yeah, you can, you can be trans and gendered.

Speaker C:

An all round professional.

Speaker E:

Jack of all trades.

Speaker C:

Yes. Or a Jill of all trades. Yes.

Speaker D:

Look at us.

Speaker C:

Nothing about gender today.

Speaker F:

A multi tool.

Speaker D:

That'S. That's for like the. The butch. The butch trans. You know, I'm the multitool trans.

Speaker B:

Actually when we were talking about our discord before, that was something that popped up. It was like a meme of like describing your gender outside of like the confines of. Of like general gendered language. I reckon like yeah, someone saying my gender is a multi tool. That's good. That's good.

Speaker G:

That is fantastic. I really like that.

Speaker C:

I really like the like, you know, construction things that have like, they have like. I don't know, they have trans somewhere and it'll be like trans slr and you're like driving along and you'll be like trans slow.

Speaker G:

What?

Speaker C:

What? Like there's my favourite truck is like t women twomen.com au but it's actually just two men in a truck or something like that.

Speaker B:

There's literally. I have a zine that I will bring in one time. That is someone just compiled a bunch of photos that they took of. Of the fact that like so much transport has trans written on it. It's amazing and beautiful.

Speaker E:

I think they're people smuggling that picture.

Speaker B:

Yes. They're smuggling gender.

Speaker C:

I see.

Speaker G:

Guys, is that like hyper pop coming out of the back of the truck?

Speaker C:

Yeah. As it drives by a lot of warehouses in like Jindalee, like Logan area.

Speaker D:

Salisbury.

Speaker C:

Yes, Salisbury.

Speaker E:

Professional transgenders.

Speaker C:

Yeah. I saw one that said trans pal the other day and I felt empowered. So I just want to say if you're a straight person with and you're thinking about doing something with like transport or just trans more. Just trans on everything.

Speaker G:

Yeah.

Speaker C:

Make it about us.

Speaker D:

Yes, yes. And speaking about us, if you subscribe to 4 Triple Z, you will get some amazing prizes. But you will also get prizes if you subscribe specifically. Enlist Transmission as your favourite show. Ray, what could you win?

Speaker B:

We have an incredible amount of prizes that you could win if you put down Transmission as your fave show. We've got a $50 gift voucher from Bent Book, Gender affirming underwear from Dysphoric. A merch pack with a tote original tee, rainbow laces and a pride flag from Gayskate. We've got a 50 voucher and a T shirt from Banshee's Bar. A 200 pizza party voucher from the Cave Inn.

Speaker G:

Yep.

Speaker B:

And 12 laser hair removal sessions from Live More.

Speaker G:

Yup.

Speaker E:

That's the big one.

Speaker D:

How?

Speaker B:

That's so many. Like I went through that really fast. But like that's an incredible amount of prizes. It could be you like now if.

Speaker G:

You go online to speak on that.

Speaker B:

Please send a carrier pigeon to us.

Speaker G:

I absolutely have to recommend that you go in trying to get those dysphoric underwear. I got some of those recently. They are really worth the money. So if you get them for free. Oh my God, you're dreaming. You're really winning if you get that. Absolutely.

Speaker D:

I can only speak to the packing underwear and they're amazing.

Speaker C:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

But you do get two pairs of whatever you feel is the one that you want. So you can get tucking underwear, you can get packing underwear. If you are unsure. PS Is very happy to chat to you about what you might like.

Speaker G:

Maybe ask for one of each.

Speaker D:

Yeah, why not?

Speaker G:

See what suits you.

Speaker D:

Go.

Speaker B:

Go for it.

Speaker E:

Multitool.

Speaker C:

Today's theme brought to you by Multitool.

Speaker G:

Sponsored by Swiss Army Knives.

Speaker C:

Yeah, honestly, I also want to just say, I think it's the only time that I've heard the word pizza party and gone, Oh, I don't actually want to perform corporate espionage today because pizzas from Cave in is a good Time. If you haven't gone and eaten at the Cave in, let alone gone and seen some music at the Cave in, you useless person, you better go to the Cave in and get some pizza and music into you. It's really, really good pizza.

Speaker D:

You're not useless.

Speaker G:

It's just really good.

Speaker C:

Yeah.

Speaker E:

I don't know if strong arming people into eating pizza unless it's quite the way we want to go.

Speaker G:

I think we like a balance here. We like to entice you and then if that's not doing it, we're going to apply some pressure afterwards. Yes.

Speaker C:

No, I really like everybody else's approach. I went in a bit hard there. Sorry. This is why we have many voices. Yes. I'm aggressive.

Speaker G:

We're not a monolith.

Speaker D:

Yeah. Trans fan fight. Trans fan fight.

Speaker C:

My upper lip's sweating. I'm feeling aggressive.

Speaker B:

I was like, that is. That is the start of a poem. I was just gonna say the Caveman has an incredible amount of queer gigs. There's like a queer open mic. There's like all these incredible queer bands and, like, trans bands and, like. Yeah. Trans gigs at the Cave Inn.

Speaker C:

So big shout out to Ruth. Running that. So beautiful. Very, very progressive.

Speaker D:

Yeah. Love Ruth. Also want to say, like, love. Love all the trans family that we have and especially want to shout out some love to our trans young people out there who are particularly feeling it. Tough as you're depressingly. We're all elders in your. In your lives. People on air this morning. We're all part of your community and we love you so much. And we're gonna sub, sub, sub, sub.

Speaker C:

Sub, sub, sub, sub, sub, sub, sub, sub, sub.

Speaker G:

Yay.

Speaker E:

I did not participate in that, by the way.

Speaker C:

For Triple Z.

Speaker D:

For Triple Z. Get it in your head. 50 years in your ears. Keeping us alive since 1975.

Speaker G:

Oh, my God.

Speaker D:

Subscribe.

Speaker F:

That's poetry right there.

Speaker D:

Yeah. Is that poetry, Ray?

Speaker B:

Yes, it is.

Speaker G:

Yay.

Speaker D:

We are hoping that you, dear listener, if you haven't subscribed to 4zzz, that you should 4z.org. Au Selma's getting ready to go at you.

Speaker C:

I'm bucking on the microphone. You get staunched.

Speaker D:

Yeah, you're getting. You're getting threatened.

Speaker C:

Oh, sorry, Bet. Sorry, Darles.

Speaker B:

Threatened in a loving way.

Speaker C:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was just in your direction, not at you.

Speaker D:

Yeah. Mm.

Speaker G:

We'd love to thank the subscribers that have come in. So thank you, Cassandra from Mount Gravatt. We're very thankful for your subscription.

Speaker C:

We love you.

Speaker D:

We love you. We love you. And thank you to Natalia for saying they must be smuggling all that gender in there. We were talking about transport, smuggling gender and such earlier. And also thanks to Jody for saying. Happy radio Thon transmission crew. May your cups of inner glow always be full, warm and delicious. Keep shining, Legends.

Speaker G:

Excellent. Hey, Natalia, this is Hazel here. I just wanted to say thank you again for telling me about Ponyo as a trans allegory. I'm still telling other people about that. It's really changed my perspective on things. So thanks for that.

Speaker D:

It's actually really cute now that I think about it. I'll put it back on the Ponyo train now.

Speaker G:

Here we go.

Speaker D:

Yeah, actually, it really is.

Speaker G:

What a nice movie.

Speaker C:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

Thanks. Hey, music. So, Ray, why do you love for Triple Z? What is it that you love?

Speaker B:

I look like a deer in headlights right now, I think. Well, I was saying this off air, so I should say it on air. Is that I. When I was a kid, I used to have. Beside my bed, I'd have the like four Triple Z timetable like pinned to my wall. Probably much to my parents horror. I used to have a whole lot of band posters in my room as well. I thought I was real cool. And it's one of those things where I never assumed that there would ever be. I mean, I didn't even know the word trans when I was a kid, but I didn't think there'd be a trans show like this. I didn't think I'd be on it, which is extremely cool.

Speaker D:

That's cause you're trans.

Speaker C:

Yeah. Qualified.

Speaker B:

I had no idea.

Speaker G:

That's why you're in this room.

Speaker B:

Oh my God. I was like, I'm freaking out. I do think it's absolutely incredible that we're able to, you know, to host so many beautiful voices, especially on this show, but also on all of the amazing shows on four Triple Z. And that everyone gets to. Yeah. To have. To have a voice. And you know, as Selma said, unless you're a fascist, in which case, please bugger off.

Speaker D:

Go fat off.

Speaker B:

That's quite good. That's actually very. That's very good. Someone needs to put that on a sticker.

Speaker C:

Everyone's being so polite. I would say, inhale black mould and die.

Speaker G:

Some of them are doing that.

Speaker D:

Yeah. Yes.

Speaker C:

I love it here.

Speaker G:

I also, I just want to point out what happened silently during that is, after thanking a subscriber, they then presented their head through the door and said, hi, that's me.

Speaker C:

Oh my gosh.

Speaker D:

Subscriber, come in. Hello.

Speaker C:

What real life Subscriber has walked in.

Speaker D:

What is your name?

Speaker B:

Who are you?

Speaker D:

Grab a mic.

Speaker H:

My name is Natalia. I'm the ponyu, the person.

Speaker C:

I had no plan.

Speaker H:

I just hunt my name and I.

Speaker A:

Said.

Speaker C:

Tell us quickly about Ponyo.

Speaker H:

Ponyo. I haven't thought about this in so long. Trans allegory. Because it's a fish who wants to become a girl and they go through this whole journey, transformation and their parents are like, nah. But then she goes and does it anyway and it's a beautiful thing.

Speaker G:

It's so beautiful. She even has a dead name.

Speaker H:

She even has a dead name and she's like, don't call me that. I'm. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you so much. If you're listening, please subscribe. This show means so much to me and if you're out there, I am a volunteer here and I would not be a volunteer without this shirt right here.

Speaker D:

This has done so much.

Speaker C:

Thank you, Natalia. We love you.

Speaker H:

I've been having a placid smile on my face for the whole car ride, waking up, being like, I might actually get to meet them. Anyway, subscribe to Radiothon and you can, I will give you personally some of my warm in a glare.

Speaker A:

For 50 years, 4zzz has been making people powered radio. Everyone on air and behind the scenes are volunteers and do so much to keep the station running.

Speaker D:

Like me right now, talking to you.

Speaker A:

We also rely on you, the people.

Speaker D:

In our community who listen and subscribe.

Speaker A:

To help keep us making people powered radio. So please head to 4zzz.org au and subscribe.

Speaker D:

Subscribe to phone Triple Z. It's Radiothon. 50 years in your ears and we're coming to the end of our one hour of Radiothon trans crossover power. But hopefully, if you've subscribed, we could have another potential 50 years of one hours every week. I don't know, I'm doing weird math.

Speaker H:

That's a lot of hours.

Speaker C:

That's tonnes for 50 years. We only have one hour still. I'm gonna be mad.

Speaker D:

Oh, are we gonna. Are we gonna, like, petition upgrade?

Speaker B:

10.

Speaker C:

Yeah, 10 hours.

Speaker G:

We'd like 10 hours per day.

Speaker H:

Take or leave it.

Speaker D:

Maybe we could make our own entire broadcast. We'll see how we go.

Speaker E:

We could do a trans takeover of the whole station.

Speaker D:

Yeah, I mean, look, that's been kind of my agenda since I started up.

Speaker G:

The agenda right now. We don't want to scare them off.

Speaker C:

First the station, then the world.

Speaker D:

This has to be one of the queerest transist friendliest welcoming spaces I've ever been in for Triple Z. I can vouch for that. I put my life to that. And I absolutely love this team endlessly. It's been a very hard few years for me. I've actually transitioned medically the exact same time that I started the show. So you can. My journey is chronicled through this space.

Speaker E:

Oh, I see. So you only transitioned in order to have a show, didn't you?

Speaker H:

You're like, I need to fit the.

Speaker G:

Time, slip the criteria.

Speaker E:

I know you saw the niche was.

Speaker C:

There and it was empty. Sort of the way that, like, when I forget to take my hormones, I go, oh, get me a microphone and a couch. I think I'm gonna start a podcast. And you said, well, I'm gonna do it all at once.

Speaker D:

Yeah, I did.

Speaker C:

I love that.

Speaker G:

I just noticed all the free jobs that were going around for trans people and he was like, I need to jump on that lucrative train.

Speaker D:

Yeah.

Speaker G:

I was like, yeah.

Speaker D:

So much money. Yeah.

Speaker B:

I'm so rich. Yeah. 100%. Yeah.

Speaker D:

Well, you can keep me employed voluntarily by Subscrib. Thank you all for being a studio and thank you for subscribing to the station. Remember, you can win prizes both for Transmission, if you list us as your favourite show, but also from the station. So we love you all. Sub, sub, sub, sub, sub, sub.

Speaker G:

Thank you so much for listening to Transmission.

Speaker C:

See you next Tuesday, 9 to 10am.
