4zzz Announcer

At Fort Zzzzz, we acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which we broadcast. We pay our respects to the elders past, present, and emerging of the turbul and jaggera people. We acknowledge that their sovereignty over this land was never ceded, and we stand.

Ez (he/him)

In solidarity with them.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

You're listening to transmission mission on four Z, amplifying the trans and gender non conforming voices of Brisbane and beyond.

Ez (he/him)

Good morning, Megan Brisbane, how you doing? It's Radiothon.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Yes.

Ez (he/him)

Oh, my gosh. I'd like to begin by acknowledging the traditional owners of the land in which four Zzzzz broadcast every single day, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, of the tourable Yagura and Jagara people. Sovereignty was never seeded and always was, always will be aboriginal land. You transmission. My name is Ez. I use he him pronouns.

Charlie (they/them)

I'm Charlie, and I use they them pronouns.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

I'm Selma Saul, and I use she her pronouns.

Hazel (she/her)

I'm Hazel, I use she her pronouns.

Ez (he/him)

And if Shawn was here, she'd be like, I use just abomination is fine transmission all about amplifying the voices of the trans community in our town, around the country, and ultimately around the world. And also, it happens to be radiothon here at four triple Z.

Hazel (she/her)

What?

Ez (he/him)

Yes.

Charlie (they/them)

Yes.

Ez (he/him)

It's like a radio marathon where we have, you know, from the August 9 to the 18th. You've got, I think it's seven. No, seven. 8910 days. Ten days to subscribe to Fuller Triple Z. Keep us on air. We real broke, so when you subscribe, you help keep us on air. You know, there's like, a bunch of different subscription types. We'll go through all of that with you today. We'll go through a bazillion prizes that you can win. And because there's so many prizes, I feel like your odds are pretty damn good. But yes, we've got special guest Selma the scream soul in.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

I was going to hold back the scream. I was like, oh, radio people might be going about their days, but I'll just do one away from the mic. So good to be here. Yes. I feel like that scream should get a subscriber. Uwu.

Ez (he/him)

Yeah, yeah, you should subscribe. Four triple z.org dot au dot head over there right now. Hit that subscribe button. You can select from a bunch of different subscription types. Who wants to go through the subscription types? We've got?

Charlie (they/them)

Oh, yeah, go on. I will do it.

Ez (he/him)

Get in there. Do it. That's the right one on the wall right there.

Charlie (they/them)

I don't think it's up to date, though.

Ez (he/him)

No, no, it's good. All right. Sorry.

Charlie (they/them)

For those listening in black and white. So lots of different types. If you're under 1820, $5 pets, $25, concession 40. You don't need to prove that to us, by the way. Like, if you just.

Hazel (she/her)

We're not.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

It's an honest system.

Charlie (they/them)

Yeah, but I mean, you know, if you're. If you're a student or, you know, whatever you got going on. Full is 80, passionate 140, super sub 500, solo artist 85, band 160, business 160, and household is 300. And there's lots of different prizes that go. Sorry, not even prizes. There's lots of different prizes. You can get with everything. But there's also little goodies that you get with each pack. You know, all of them come with stickers. You gotta have stickers. Give me the stickers. The subcar that shows you, you know, that you're who's who and gets you little discounts around the city. Because, you know, like, community, it's all about, you know, you scratch my back or scratch yours. We all look out for each other. We support each other.

Ez (he/him)

Anti capitalism. Oh, wait, we're asking for money? Nevermind.

Charlie (they/them)

I mean, it's how we survive in this capitalist landscape, you know, like. And we do it without selling out. And that's why, you know, we don't bombard you with, like, corporate ads or. Or, you know, the charts, like, of just the charts.

Hazel (she/her)

No, you, the listeners.

Ez (he/him)

But that's also why community sounds different, is because we're not corporate, because we're not this conglomerate thing that just churns out cocaine fueled radio, cocaine fuel, which maybe that's not this time slot, but as Selma waves an empty badge in.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

The studio, a little badge earlier, a little badge. But there's a lot of little empty baggies around here for you to be saying that.

Ez (he/him)

Yeah, yeah. Look, what are these? I don't know what happens in the graveyard around here, but if you subscribe, you can support the habits of the graveyard announcers. Four zz.org dot au hit subscribe. We're going to have an absolute hysterical time this morning on transmission. If you're listening to the podcast, you should also subscribe. You've got between the 9 August and the 18th. To subscribe, win yourself some prizes from for Zzzzz, but also extra if you subscribe and list transmission as your favourite show, you will also go into another special prize pool to win some awesome prizes. Hazel, do you know what prizes you can get if you subscribe under transmission? Transmission is your favourite show.

Hazel (she/her)

I think I might know es.

Ez (he/him)

Yeah, you do.

Hazel (she/her)

Well, first of all, you could get a $50 gift voucher from shelf lovers.

Ez (he/him)

Oh, nice.

Hazel (she/her)

Lots of readers in the trans community. I know you want that. There's also gender affirming underwear, boxer briefs, or tucking underwear from actually.

Ez (he/him)

Dysphoric.

Hazel (she/her)

Dysphoric.

Ez (he/him)

Thank you.

Hazel (she/her)

That was a bit hard to read on the first try there. I apologise.

Ez (he/him)

It's all good.

Hazel (she/her)

There's a $100 pizza party voucher from the cave in. And of course you can get a goodies pack and tattoo voucher from Oracle Tattoo shop.

Ez (he/him)

Yeah, that's right. You better list transmission. Mm hmm. Mm hmm. It is. It's extra good. It's by the community, for the community. Just like transmission by trans people. For trans people. And if you are not trans and you are listening, that's fine. You can still subscribe, subscribe to for triple Z. You can still win prizes for, you know, your trans or gender diverse friends. If you're a CiS person, you go into the draw and you win and you select gender affirming underwear. Maybe consider passing that on to a family member, but otherwise, yeah, subscribe, support the station. I want to say a special thanks to two subscribers since we've been talking. Margie from new. Thank you so much for subscribing to Ford Triple Z as well as Christopher from Annalee. I feel like I know who you are. Maybe a new neighbour of mine. Thank you so much for supporting the show.

Charlie (they/them)

Thank you, Chris. And thank you, mum.

Ez (he/him)

Yeah, mum's blonde. She might win some gender foaming underwear.

Charlie (they/them)

She should be so lucky.

Ez (he/him)

All the music on transmission, as always, is bi, trans and gender diverse artists only. So it's 1 hour of trans power always. So while we play some music, head over to four z.org dot au. Subscribe. Support the community and support trans people. Damn it.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Do it.

Ez (he/him)

Language and content amplifying the voices of the trans and gender non conforming community of Meanjin, Brisbane and beyond.

Charlie (they/them)

Transmission on four triple Z brings you the latest in trans community news, music.

Ez (he/him)

And events every Tuesday from 09:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. join our team of.

Charlie (they/them)

Hosts for an hour of celebrating the unique perspectives of the trans community.

Ez (he/him)

Transmission Tuesday mornings from 09:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on four.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Hi, my little monsters. This is four triple Z, and I'm Lady Gaga.

Charlie (they/them)

Oh my God, it's Gaga.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

No, it's just. It's me, Selma. We thought we'd trick you Lady Gaga actually listens to four triple z every single day.

Hazel (she/her)

She does.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Every single day.

Hazel (she/her)

She's gonna love that.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

You crack.

Hazel (she/her)

Yeah.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

I got so scared. I actually felt like I was like I could go to prison for impersonating Gaga. I mean, that was perfect.

Hazel (she/her)

That's a forgery.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

It was me.

Ez (he/him)

You were listening to transmission of four triple Z. That was lady Gaga impersonator Selma soul. Hi, it's radio thon at four triple Z, and the sublight has just been going off and off and off. Thank you so much. Your support means everything. It helps us stay on air. It keeps you entertained, dear listener, but also, you know, you keep the show on air. And transmission is all about amplifying the voices of the trans community around town, but also around the country. We play music by trans artists, and all the voices that you hear on this 1 hour of power are trans and queer voices. This is what they sound like. Damn it.

Charlie (they/them)

Yeah. I mean, honestly, we just like showing off trans talent, you know? Cause it's just so good.

Ez (he/him)

Yeah. And trans joy, our joy, our trans euphoria as an answer to the dysphoria of this dystopian world that we live in. But fortunately, we've got people like Selma Sol. Keeping it real.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Thanks. I'm here. Keeping it real. You can see me down at Coco's, Annalee, just buying buckets, buckets of half rotten fruit that is barely feeding me at all hours. At all hours. Honestly, I'm there 24/7 when I'm not pretending to be Lady Gaga, I am at Coco's, getting swamped by people because they think I'm Lady Gaga. I also just wanted to say, if you subscribe today, one subscription equals one prayer for my dying fridge at home. I should be at home watching and nursing my dying fridge. It's dead. It's defrosting slowly. I'm gonna come home. There's a puddle of water on the floor. I can guarantee it right now. But if you subscribe right now, that water will go back in and the freezer will start working. You can undo that. Air cycles start working. Witchcraft happens when you subscribe to four triple Z. I do believe in fridges.

Charlie (they/them)

I do, I do, I do.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

But, yeah, just like community radio, trans performers are pretty, um. We're doing it hard out there, so give some money to a radio station so they can buy our bloody music.

Ez (he/him)

It's just like, if you think the CiS performers are having it tough out there.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Forget em. What?

Ez (he/him)

I have to chop up my tits to pay my bills.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Exactly. I sold them.

Hazel (she/her)

At the very least, you can lean on your income from Gaga and tell.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

I can't lean on anything with income in the title.

Ez (he/him)

Oh, my goodness. Yes, it's radiothon, and we're trying to save Selma's fridge. It's really a campaign today.

Hazel (she/her)

Everyone's fridge. Everyone's community's fridge.

Ez (he/him)

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Trying to keep it frosty. Yeah. So, radiothon, if you don't know, if you haven't heard, well, we'll tell you now. Radiothon is about supporting the community, particularly the trans community, on this 1 hour of power every Tuesday morning. If you're listening back on the podcast, you've got an opportunity to subscribe during a radiothon, which is August 9 to 18th, you can win prizes. I subscribed yesterday, passionately. Cost me $140. It's worth it. I got myself a sick t shirt and a tote.

Charlie (they/them)

A really cool tote.

Ez (he/him)

Yeah, the art this year, it's different.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

I want to see the tote.

Charlie (they/them)

It sounds different.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Oh, my God, it's totally good. I almost subscribed. Whoops, I slipped. Yeah, that was good.

Ez (he/him)

I slipped and subscribed. Oh, look at this terrible tote I got.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Oh, no. Oh, no. Ew. Cute toe.

Ez (he/him)

And it's totally designed by one of our. You're welcome by George Levi. Three years in a row now, George Levi, a non binary trans artist, visual artist, has been doing and designing the art for 4000 for the last three years. And it's absolutely stunning yet again, another year of excellent work. Last couple of years, you had some orange in there for like 2022, you had some orange and purple and lavender.

Charlie (they/them)

That was beautiful.

Ez (he/him)

Oh, that was a gorgeous one, depicting, you know, our iconic Brisbane mugungeon sunsets that we have through winter. You know, just long, beautiful colours. It looks like that. And then in 2023, last year, we had different greens and yellows and George's beautiful dog, Lou, and Lou is now featured again in this year's artwork as well. And now we have like sky blues and teals and it's just stunning. So you've got these three beautiful colour palettes. If you've been collecting your subscriptions for the last three years, you might want to complete this set of George Levi's four triple Z artwork by subscribing. Just saying. Yeah, I've got, I've got it all lined up at home. I'm not a fan. You're listening to transmission on four triple Z. Subscribe four z.org dot au support community radio support trans people go on, do.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

It, do it, do it. Why not?

Hazel (she/her)

Come on, try it.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Do it. Give it a little go.

Ez (he/him)

How many genders are there? I don't know, I just got here. No, no, I just got here.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

There's too many, bro. We can't tell you. We want to give a big thank you to Jacob from. Oh, I wanted to say Jacob from Brighton, but it's Jacob Bryden, who's just been a subscriber.

Ez (he/him)

No, it is Jacob from Brighton.

Charlie (they/them)

Yeah, the last, what looks like the last name is the suburb.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Well, Jacob from Brighton. Good job.

Hazel (she/her)

Consider the new last name. I think it's safe.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Yeah, please.

Ez (he/him)

And we should also thank Vicky from Balmoral.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

You'll actually find it's Vicky Balmoral.

Ez (he/him)

Oh, Vicky Balmoral. Thank you so much, Madame Balmoral and Senor Brighton subscribing and thank you to.

Charlie (they/them)

The sneaky people who haven't, who've clicked, like, you know, don't, don't say my name. We don't know your name. But like, thank you, thank you.

Ez (he/him)

No names.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

It's mysterious.

Ez (he/him)

Thank you. Anon. You don't want trans people saying your name, do you?

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Oh, no, it's not like that.

Hazel (she/her)

Don't put it on them.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

It's not like that.

Ez (he/him)

I just want to be a non.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

I don't want to be a nun.

Charlie (they/them)

But also, if you want to subscribe, I mean, obviously you can head over to fortressz.org dot au support, but you can also call us 325215 and you can talk to Claire from the hangover and Stan from the band. Stan, let's go. Who are on your phones downstairs right now. They're just waiting for you to call. So you should, you should go talk to them and tell them how much you love community radio and they'll say it right back.

Ez (he/him)

Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it's Claire from the hangover and it's a Tuesday, so I assume she's no longer hangover, so that's good. Yeah. So you should definitely give a call. And if you're listening to the podcast, you should just call four triple z, 32521 triple five, anytime between August 9 and 18th. I mean, maybe not anytime, I don't know what time people aren't on the phones. But you could also just go to four zzzzz.org dot au and subscribe. That way. We got so many prizes. Oh my gosh. Bazillions of prizes list transmission as your favourite show. And you also go into another special prize pool to win awesome trans related prizes. Essentially, yeah, trans related.

Charlie (they/them)

You're still also eligible for all of the other fortable Z prizes. The trans prizes are additional gifts from us and from our community that supports transmission. So, you know, double whammy.

Ez (he/him)

Yeah.

Hazel (she/her)

Bone.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

There's a lot of things. There's like a dj deck. There's a year of beer. There's a year of beer. I know. Sorry. I got stuck on that one. And that's all I kept on thinking about. But, yeah, the prize packs, as per usual every year. Look litty. You need to get on it. Get in there, subscribe, or else I'll be underneath your bed tonight.

Charlie (they/them)

Oh, wow.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Hazel, are you a subscriber?

Hazel (she/her)

I am a subscriber.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

That's good.

Hazel (she/her)

I promise.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Very good.

Ez (he/him)

Someone's gonna scream at you.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

I'm feeling aggressive all of a sudden. Trans rage is boiling.

Ez (he/him)

Yeah, I know.

Hazel (she/her)

It's anger. A little prize option that I like the look of a lot is there is a custom Netherworld games cabinet in goodies. I mean, come on.

Charlie (they/them)

That's always a hot prize.

Ez (he/him)

Yeah, it is.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Cool.

Ez (he/him)

Also, if you've got a cute little cat or dog or whatever, you can get a pet prize. Also, if you've just got a bottom that needs a collar, you can subscribe.

Hazel (she/her)

Not eligible for the pet subscription, by the way.

Charlie (they/them)

You are?

Sellma Soul (she/her)

That seems wrong. That seems discriminatory.

Charlie (they/them)

We don't have these things. Honestly, the pet subscription's only $25. You do? Like, every pet subscription gets a little, like, pet tag. Yeah, a pet tag with fortress on it. It's a really cool. Like this.

Ez (he/him)

And you can go get it engraved.

Charlie (they/them)

If you want, and then you can get it engraved. But you go into the winning to win. Like, a leather collar from Down's shoes. From down's shoes. So, for your. Whatever pets you might have.

Hazel (she/her)

Yeah. I'd like to formally apologise to the pet community for my comments.

Ez (he/him)

I'd like to formally apologise to all my transmasc friends who are also, you know, love dressing up as dogs.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

So, yeah, you better eat out of a bowl. The pet subscription is for you. A bowl off a ground.

Charlie (they/them)

That's definitely the quiet part. Out loud is like, we love you fairies as well.

Hazel (she/her)

You know, like, we understand that you support the entire it industry and we're not gonna mess with that.

Ez (he/him)

Oh, my gosh.

4zzz Announcer

I met Sally when we were 16. You know, I think I fell in love with her the moment I met her. I love everything about her. Ever since we were young, we both wanted kids. We got so excited the day we realised we were both ready for that. Step.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

So then what happens next is up to you.

Hazel (she/her)

As you can help her story continue by donating sperm.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Donate sperm at Monash IVF and make.

Hazel (she/her)

The dream of having a family more than just a dream. Visit monashivf.com today. Proud sponsor of four triple Z.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

This message has been approved under the Transplantation and Anatomy Act, 1979.

Ez (he/him)

Please donate some sperm for the lesbian couples as well.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Yeah, I gotta say, I love that ad. But the ad really made me think about things like the narrative beforehand and then the voice of it being like, the decision is yours whether or not you wanna give that sperm. Is it just for them? Is it only for her? I'm worried, Monash.

Hazel (she/her)

I wanna say though, I know something else that needs donations.

Ez (he/him)

Oh, you do?

Hazel (she/her)

And that's for triple Z.

Sellma Soul Singing

You have a radio match.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Hazel is a witch.

Hazel (she/her)

We've got a few subscribers.

Ez (he/him)

Oh, my gosh, all the lights are going off. I've got blue, green, red. Oh, super sub to four foot transmission.

Charlie (they/them)

That was perfectly tight.

Ez (he/him)

Conjuring things in here. Special. Thank you. Your name hasn't shown up yet, but there are a couple of other people that we want to give some special acknowledgement to. Thank you. Tony. Tony from Wardell for subscribing for Triple Z and Nick from Wilston as well as Charlie from Highgate Hills.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Thank you.

Ez (he/him)

Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You're supporting community radio. You're keeping us on air. You're supporting trans people, like directly right now. So thank you so much. This is like such an exciting way to start the day.

Hazel (she/her)

Hell, yeah.

Ez (he/him)

There's absolutely no substances involved. Just the graveyard. They apparently love cocaine and coffee.

Hazel (she/her)

There's also the warm in a glow.

Ez (he/him)

Warm in a glow that keeps us going. Yeah, absolutely.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Honestly, I'm buzzing off the energy right now. I'm usually like a two coffee person by now. Energy. You're serving it today?

Hazel (she/her)

Yeah, delivering it.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

It's so exciting.

Ez (he/him)

I love this place. I love Ford Triple Z. I've been here for a decade. It's been a family for me. If it wasn't for Ford Triple Z, I can assure you right now I would not be here on this microphone.

Charlie (they/them)

Yeah, we're the same.

Ez (he/him)

Yeah. This community have done an amazing thing for me personally. But, you know, every time I start talking about it, I start laying it on thick. So I don't know, listener, I don't know. But, you know, this place is full of trans and queer people. It's full of indigenous. The indigenous community. It's full of people who live in so many different circumstances and come together. We all come together in this place for a common cause, which is to make the world better for everyone, you know, until all of us are free, none of us are free. And that is very much a sentiment throughout this building, throughout this station. And we absolutely are so, so grateful for every cent that you can spare us right now. You know, it's really tough. It's really tough out there. As a working class person, as someone who works in social work on the front line every day, it is really, really hard. And the fact that you want to donate and support for Triple Z is literally the best thing that you can do. You're keeping our voices heard. You're keeping other voices heard as well. And mostly, this doesn't just serve us as the community, it serves you. You're staying informed because these are real voices who aren't paid to be here by some corporate conglomerate. We're not full of crap. We're real people. And there's no barrier between us and you, unlike all these other commercial radio stations. If you want to message us, 0420-6267 double three. Message in, say hi, subscribe four triple.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Z, or just find us down at cocos.

Ez (he/him)

Yep, with a bucket.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

There is like a real. Sorry, Hazel.

Hazel (she/her)

Oh, no, I didn't mean to cut you off. I'm sorry. No, I was going to remind our dear listeners that not only are they doing nice thing by supporting us, they're entering chances to win amazing prizes by doing so. Yes, huge list of prizes. Another thing I just wanted to spotlight, just so you know, there's custom docs on there.

Ez (he/him)

That's the one I signed up for.

Hazel (she/her)

Their own custom paradox. Are you kidding me?

Ez (he/him)

Stop telling people. They'll slide up the.

Hazel (she/her)

Yeah, let's flood the dock market. Come on. So exciting.

Ez (he/him)

Also, down's shoes. Not only do they custom docs with this year's radiothon art, but they also are a sub discount outlet for triple Z, which means not only by subscribing, if you don't win the prize, you get 10% off Down's shoes.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

What?

Ez (he/him)

So, yeah, a bunch of other sdos we've got.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

You need so many new shoes. I'm subscribing again.

Hazel (she/her)

If you buy ten pairs of shoes, you got a free pair of shoes.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

That's a free pair of shoes. I've never done maths. There's two things I don't believe in this world, and it's mathematics.

Hazel (she/her)

Yep.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

And English. That's right. Never studied it, never did well.

Hazel (she/her)

And that's why we do neither of those things here at practise.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Exactly.

Ez (he/him)

That's right. But don't worry, Selma's got you back. Because it does get better. Right, Selma?

Sellma Soul (she/her)

It does get better, I think. I mean, look, as somebody who has directly benefited off four triple Z, it does get better. I just would like to say that as somebody who gets played on this show quite a bit, seeing the direct work that you two do for this show is very, very wholesome. You work your asses off. I mean, you came and picked me up this morning. You were two of the most joyous people. I just. Four triple Z is a little home. If you haven't been here ever, if you haven't met anybody here, try to, because it's such a lovely place to be. And also, it does get better. The next song that's coming up is my song called it gets better. And I just wanted to say that it's been a long time since I thought that I would be making music again or have the means to make music again. And listening to this song is such a throwback at this point. But to know that I'm still here in 4000, floating around, existing like a ghost within the music industry is really, actually lovely and exciting for me. I feel involved and invited and safe at 4000 Z. And, yeah, it doesn't always get easier for us queer trans folk. But the one thing that does get easier is learning to love yourself. And accepting love and accepting help. And accepting subscribers. Yes.

Charlie (they/them)

You're beautiful, Salma.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Thank you. And, Hazel, I've only just met you before.

Ez (he/him)

I know.

Hazel (she/her)

I've just met you, too. I haven't been here long. These two are lovely, aren't they?

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Yeah.

Ez (he/him)

I got another subscription. Thank you so much. We're gonna listen to a track it gets better by sell my soul. Yeah, yeah.

Sellma Soul Singing

When I was just a kid mama said don't sit back, just hit back Mama, I'm still a kid and I'm throwing right back throwing right back we ain't got a house to be.

Ez (he/him)

We are all equal.

Ez (he/him)

Peter Sterling, the only man in the world who's given birth to a child. Someone might say you're a bit of a queer, then. That'd be Brian. Yo. Listen to transmission on four triple Z. It's radio thor.

Sellma Soul Singing

Radio four.

Ez (he/him)

Oh, my gosh. And we just got some more subscribers.

Hazel (she/her)

We sure did. Hi, Lara, I love you. My partner subscribed and also my friend Ashley.

Ez (he/him)

I hope you win some amazing prizes from four triple Z's incredible long, long list of prizes.

Hazel (she/her)

Refresh.

Charlie (they/them)

It might be a secret. It might be a secret. Okay, how about I tell. I'll just remind you about what prizes you can get if you list transmission as your favourite show. So obviously you still can have access to all of the other amazing four triple Z subscribe subscriber prizes, which you should go and look up. But if you make transmission your favourite show, you can be in the running for the $100 pizza party voucher from the Cave Inn. We love the Cave Inn so much. And goodies pack. And tattoo voucher from Oracle Tattoo also like. Yeah, they're amazing. A pair of gender affirming undies from dysphoric. We've had them on the show a couple of times. We love them. And the $50 gift voucher from Shelf Lovers, which is a queer bookshop, which you should also absolutely go and cheque out. Just generally.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Yes, yes.

Ez (he/him)

Queer own and operated shelf lovers. We've had them on transmission before. They've also been on exit stage said. And they do drag queen story times as well. And it's so cute. They sound cool as hell. You are cool as hell. And you could be cool as hell too, if you subscribe to Ford Triple Z dealers. And you might be thinking, oh, gosh, you sound so professional. Gosh, four z do so well. That's because it's not just a job to us. We actually want to be here because we're all volunteers, so we do a good job.

Charlie (they/them)

And if you subscribe, you can actually become a volunteer. You are genuinely joining something. When you sign up to subscribe, you can. Yeah, just become part of the community.

Ez (he/him)

Come into the fold.

Charlie (they/them)

Come on in like one or 2% of our listeners actually subscribe, you know, and I think a lot of them don't, actually.

Ez (he/him)

I can tell these mics are gonna fall off the stands anytime.

Charlie (they/them)

I don't think that a lot of people understand that community radio just. We don't have funding. Like, you know, we are funded because the community wants us. You know? And so if you want to keep us, that's. That's what you need to do is you need to.

Hazel (she/her)

That's a way to show it.

Charlie (they/them)

That's it.

Ez (he/him)

Yeah, yeah. Subscribe. Basically. You know, in the capitalist world, you gotta flash the money to show that you care. You can do that. You can subscribe from as little as $40 as a concession. You know, we've got a trust. Trust you system or whatever. We call it an honour system or something.

Charlie (they/them)

Just if that's what you can afford. That's what you can afford. Like, no one's gonna judge you for.

Hazel (she/her)

A little cat or a little dog. Just. We're all working class.

Charlie (they/them)

Yeah. You know, each to their own ability. Like, you don't need to justify it. Like, we welcome you.

Ez (he/him)

You come, come as you are listening. Yeah, yeah. Toby messaging, saying, love the music. Giving me all the feels. Have a great radio thon, everyone.

Hazel (she/her)

Thank you.

Ez (he/him)

Toby, thank you so much for messaging in. James, thank you so much for texting in. Funeral. The best band ever. Yeah. Transmission. Funeral are the best band. I know. I know. And yes, thank you again to all the people, whoever, just, you know, subscribed at the end there. I keep refreshing the page. I can't mention your name. I'm so sorry. I don't know who you are. But thank you so much. We're gonna end the show today. Thank you so much for tuning in. Keep subscribing. You've got to the 18 August. And thank you, Selma Hazel. Charlie, you're amazing.

Sellma Soul (she/her)

Thank you so much for having us.

Hazel (she/her)
